A&O IT Group are working in partnership with the NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) and IASME to support high risk organisations in preventing the most common types of cyber attack, through a funded Cyber Essentials Programme (that's at no cost to you).

How does it work?

If your organisation meets the criteria and is selected for the programme, it will receive practical support from A&O IT Group to achieve Cyber Essentials Plus at no cost. Please note that this does not include the cost of any additional software or hardware that the assessor identifies is required to achieve Cyber Essentials.

Qualifying organisations will receive around 20 hours of remote support with one of A&O IT Group’s approved Cyber Essentials Assessors. This time will be spent identifying and implementing improvements that are right for the size and fit for your organisation, enabling you to implement the 5 Cyber Essentials technical controls (firewalls, secure settings, access controls, malware and software updates). This will be followed by a hands-on technical verification that the controls have been put in place.

Even if it's not possible to achieve Cyber Essentials Plus, our assessor will help your organisation implement as many of the technical controls as possible and provide clear list of the additional actions you need to take to be compliant. Those taking part in this scheme don't need Cyber Essentials certification, as the programme is designed to lead an organisation through the technical controls required to achieve certification. But a Cyber Essentials assessment will need to be completed before assessing for Plus.
